ABOUT

Linda Roost MSc.

After receiving my MSc title in Animal Biology and Welfare at Essex University (UK) I started working as a projectmanager for the Dutch Equestrian Fieldlab for Equestrian Sports in Deurne. Where I worked with several measuring systems.
In October 2014 I started my own company in saddle pressure analyses 'De Zadel Consulent'. The daily tasks exist of analysing the influence of riders' seat and posture and saddle fit on the horses' motion and behaviour by use of a validated measuring system.
My special interest in saddles and back problems in horses started with a search for the perfect saddle for my own horse.  During this (seemingly endless) search for a saddle that fits my horse I came across many horse owners who were also searching for a fitting solution.
I am happy to share my knowledge and experiences about saddles, pressure distribution and back problems with you to enable you and your horse to perform at your best and enhance longevity and quality of life.
I am independent and objective and work solely in the best interest of you and your horse.

Pleun Broeren

Intern (January untill june 2018)

My name is Pleun Broeren and I am a third year student Animal Husbandry at HAS Hogeschool in 's Hertogenbosch. In January 2018 I started my internship at Paerd, which will end in June 2018. My thesis is investigating the effect of peak pressures on the backmusculature of the horse. In addition, the influence of rider weight and the horses' gait on measured force is explored. At Paerd I learn a lot about saddlefit and how the pressure distribution under the saddle is influenced. During my internship I have been developing my research and analysing skills.
